Data credits

CroAQI's live readings and 3D scenes are built on open data from Singapore's government agencies and other public sources. Landmark models, scene design, and the app screens and scene film on this website are CroAQI's own work. These notices also appear in the app under Settings → Data sources.

Live weather and air quality

Real-time readings and forecasts from the National Environment Agency (NEA) and the Meteorological Service Singapore, accessed from data.gov.sg: PM2.5 and PSI, temperature and heat stress, UV index, rainfall, humidity, wind and forecasts.

Singapore government data

  • HDB Existing Building and HDB Property Information (Housing & Development Board): block outlines, numbers and storeys.
  • URA Master Plan 2019 Land Use (Urban Redevelopment Authority): roads, parks, water and plots.
  • URA Master Plan 2019 Rail Line: elevated MRT and LRT viaducts.
  • URA Master Plan 2025 Planning Area Boundary: matching places to forecast areas and scenes.
  • LTA DataMall geospatial data (Land Transport Authority): bus stops, covered linkways, crossings, MRT stations and other street details.

Contains information from the datasets above, accessed from data.gov.sg and LTA DataMall, which is made available under the terms of the Singapore Open Data Licence version 1.0.

Other open data

  • Building outlines: Google Open Buildings v3, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Outlines are simplified and heights are estimated by CroAQI.
  • Building heights: published heights and storeys of named buildings from Wikidata, CC0.
  • Ground heights: NASADEM elevation from NASA, in the public domain. Hills are CroAQI's estimates of the ground under buildings and trees.
  • Lakes in parks: ESA WorldCover 2021, © ESA WorldCover project 2021 / contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data (2021), licensed under CC BY 4.0. Lake outlines are smoothed by CroAQI.

All rights reserved. Scenes are faithful illustrations, not survey-accurate maps: heights of buildings other than HDB blocks are estimates.
